Our client is a leader in providing exceptional, innovative freight and 3PL solutions worldwide.
With expansions on the horizons locally, this highly driven and dedicated team are committed to establishing long term relationships with their customers locally, and abroad.
They currently have a new vacancy for an additional corporate key account manager who is passionate to deliver a high level of strategic freight solutions, as well as opening up new opportunities for the business.
Reporting to the National Sales and Account Manager;
Maintain suitable relationships with Tier 1 customers.
Interpreting data, and understanding the client contracts, negotiations, and commercial rates and customer surveys.
Organize and execute business reviews with customers face to face
Manage, maintain and record all KPI meetings and actions in CW1
Achieve set portfolio & new business growth targets
Develop or enhance supply chain services to customers focusing on innovation, efficiency, returns, and service excellence.
Work with our Client Solutions team to streamline reporting processes and implement customer CW1 interfaces
Delivery on clients reporting requirements - Weekly, Monthly & QBR's
As required, the KAM will be the conduit for all non-conformances with the client and work cooperatively with Operations to resolve in a timely manner and interact with all service streams of Warehousing, Imports, Customer service, Pricing and Transport departments across the nation to ensure resolution
Lead cross-function teams for customer-based projects
Actively participate in the process of winning new business for your accounts by working with the Product Managers and Sales teams.
Responsible for the implementation & growth of new business accounts won by the Sales department
Develop and maintain an Account Development Plan and strategy.
Accountable to meet or exceed targets for profitability, cash flow - outstanding debtors and debt collection, contract renewals, organic growth, number of services and/or volumes, customer relationships, customer business review meetings and customer satisfaction levels.
To be consider for this role;
Demonstrate at least 10+ years within a similar role working at a Global Freight Forwarder (non-negotiable) dealing directly with commercial clients with large volumes.
Demonstrate a high level of problem solving and solutions selling
Experience in tender presentations, client review meetings, and experience with (QBR's & NBR's)
Ability to build solid relationships by providing value and solution selling techniques
Ability to adhere to account targets and KPI's in particular retention and growth
Excellent communication written and verbal
Excellent presentation skills and a commercial mindset
Experience within local freight forwarding is a must, in either an account management or senior role that is customer centric. Must be able to demonstrate process improvement experience within freight forwarding.
