Our client is a well-established, highly respected organisation supporting workforce development in the construction and training sector. Known for its stability, collaborative culture, and purpose-driven work, this industry body plays a central role in guiding economic and skills-based decisions across Queensland.
They are currently seeking an experienced Data Analyst with a strong background in economics and demographic data, data visualisation, and analytical storytelling. The role is based in Brisbane CBD with hybrid work flexibility (3 days from home).
Day-to-Day, You’ll Be:
Working with economic, workforce, and training-related data to generate dashboards, reports, and insights for internal and external stakeholders.
Using Power BI, Power Query, Excel, R/Python, and MS Office to support data analysis, visualisation, and strategic reporting.
Contributing to the maintenance and enhancement of internal datasets and analytics tools.
Collaborating with a small, tight-knit team to support data integrity, reporting outputs, and research projects that inform real-world workforce development initiatives.
You’ll Need:
Experience (ideally 3–5+ years) in a data analyst role working with complex datasets.
Strong hands-on experience with Power BI, Power Query, and Microsoft Excel.
Confidence using R or Python for data modelling and analysis.
Understanding of economic and demographic datasets and how they apply to workforce planning or education/training.
High-level communication skills—you can translate technical data into clear, compelling insights for a non-technical audience.
A relevant degree in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a similar field.
