About the Role

This newly created role is an exciting opportunity to shape and deliver programs that build high-performing, inclusive teams and enhance how we support our people.

Reporting to the Manager, Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging, the Senior Advisor, Organisational Development will design, deliver, and evaluate impactful initiatives that align with the university’s values and strategic goals. You’ll collaborate with leaders, HR partners, and stakeholders across the university to foster a positive, inclusive workplace culture and strengthen organisational capability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and execution of university-wide organisational development programs across the employee lifecycle.
  • Co-design development initiatives for academic and professional staff aligned with workforce capability goals.
  • Build leadership capability by creating practical tools, learning content, and coaching support.
  • Use data to evaluate program effectiveness, drive continuous improvement, and inform decision-making.
  • Translate diversity, equity, and inclusion policy into practical, values-aligned initiatives.
  • Leverage technology platforms (e.g. survey tools, digital learning) to enhance the employee experience.

About You

You’re a strategic and passionate organisational development or HR professional with a strong track record in building inclusive, high-performing cultures. Known for your collaboration, insight, and practical approach, you enjoy being part of a team that drives meaningful change.

Selection Criteria

  • Tertiary qualifications in HR, Organisational Psychology, or a related field, with significant OD experience.
  • Proven ability to design, implement, and evaluate OD and cultural change programs that drive meaningful outcomes.
  • Strong understanding of contemporary OD practices and methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, coaching, facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills across all levels, with the ability to consult and liaise effectively with cross cultural sensitivity.
  • Demonstrated project management skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Strong analytical skills with a data-driven mindset.

Role Requirements:

  1. As this is a continuing (permanent) role, you will require permanent work rights in Australia to be considered
