Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Human Resources & Payroll Officer to join their dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives on variety and enjoys working across multiple facets of HR and payroll.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate end-to-end payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and internal policies
- Maintain HR systems and employee records with a high level of accuracy and support the recruitment and onboarding process, including advertising, scheduling interviews, preparing contracts, and conducting inductions
- Assist with core HR functions such as performance review administration, learning and development coordination, and policy compliance tracking
- Provide day-to-day HR administrative support including drafting letters, managing employment documentation, and responding to employee queries
- Monitor and manage compliance requirements including certifications and licences
- Partner with people leaders to provide timely and professional HR support across a range of matters
About You:
- Qualifications in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline (or currently studying)
- Demonstrated experience in a Human Resources or Payroll support role
- Strong attention to detail, especially in data entry, documentation, and record-keeping
- Proven ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
- Experience with HRIS platforms and maintaining data accuracy
- Well-developed organisational and time management skills with the ability to handle competing priorities
- Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the business
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Familiarity with recruitment and onboarding processes is desirable
- Experience using Xero or similar payroll systems will be highly regarded
