About the role
We are seeking a full-time Team Leader to join our dedicated Pathology Collections team within the Victoria Central Region. This position supports the Area Manager in supervising and directing the day-to-day operations of our Collection Centres.
This is a great opportunity for someone with extensive pathology experience who is ready to step into a leadership role. You will have a strong desire to guide and support others, along with excellent organisational and time management skills. Specific duties include:
· Rosters and FTE management.
· Monitoring of site performance and compliance.
· Recruitment, selection and employment of collection centre staff.
· Training and ongoing support for employees as the first point of reference for collection staff.
· Identify training needs and ongoing competency assessment of collection staff.
· Operational set up of any new collection centres.
· Monitor and supervise work performance of all staff taking corrective action as required.
· Be able to maintain a high degree of discretion, confidentiality and professionalism.
Skills and experience:
· Minimum 2 years of experience working in Pathology Collections.
· Strong computer skills, exceptional customer service skills and telephone manner.
· Ability to communicate effectively with referring Doctors, patients and other stakeholders.
· Ability to demonstrate sound organisational and problem solving skills.
· Ability to prioritise and work under pressure.
· Ability to understand and ensure compliance with WH&S policies and guidelines to maintain a safe & healthy workplace.
· Certificate III or IV in Pathology Collection or relevant industry experience.
· Sound clinical knowledge.
· Ability to work alone and participate in weekday and weekend shifts across any of our collection centres.
Other Requirements
· Valid Driver’s Licence with reliable transportation.
· Valid Work Rights in Australia.
· Valid Police Clearance.
