Internal Sales Representative – Timber & Building Supplies

Are you looking for a role where your product knowledge and ability to connect with people truly make a difference? We're seeking an Internal Sales Representative to join a dedicated team in the timber and building supplies industry. This isn't just about making sales; it's about being a reliable resource for clients, providing accurate information, and ensuring they have a smooth experience.

You'll be an essential part of the daily operations, supporting customers and contributing to an organised and efficient workspace.

What you'll be doing:

  • Handling client inquiries: Responding to incoming calls and providing accurate quotes for a variety of timber and building products.
  • Managing client accounts: Keeping track of sales inquiries, following up on quotes, and ensuring clients receive the information they need in a timely manner.
  • Supporting walk-in customers: Assisting cash sales clients with their orders, including helping with vehicle loading, providing quotes, and guiding them through the purchasing process.
  • Maintaining the workspace: Ensuring the office area remains tidy and organised for smooth operations.
  • Monitoring stock levels: Notifying management when stock is low to help maintain appropriate inventory.

What we're looking for:

  • Experience in a similar role: You've worked in a customer-facing or internal support position before.
  • Product knowledge: A good understanding of different types of wood, cuts, their uses, posts, and other related building materials is essential.
  • Clear communication: You can effectively convey information and assist clients over the phone and in person.
  • Organisational skills: You're capable of managing multiple tasks and keeping records accurate.
  • A helpful approach: You're willing to assist where needed and contribute to a positive team environment.

Working Hours:

  • Monday to Friday: 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Rotational Saturdays: Approximately once a month
