About the role
We have an exciting and rewarded support opportunity to share with you. Located in Bowral, you will be part of a care team to support a female with phsycial supports following a road traffic accident. An extensive onboarding program will be provided with buddy shifts to help you with your transition.
Your key responsibilities
Our team is looking for a dedicated and passionate Disability Support Worker who can undertake the following key responsibilities:
- Manual Handling
- Assistance with Daily Living
- Assistance in Community Participation
- Meal preparation
- Domestic cleaning assistance
About you
To join the team, we are looking for the following skills and experience:
- Certificate III in Individual Support or above (relevant care certificates may also be considered)
- Experience with Brain Injuries and Epilepsy
- Specific Disability / Complex Care experience (minimum 2 years experience)
- Manual handling certificate and experience
- Current First aid and CPR
- Yellow Card/NDIS Worker's Screening Check
- NDIS Orientation Module
- English Fluency - verbal and written
- NSW Full Driver Licence and Car Insurance
We are also looking for someone with great communication skills, who works well in a team, has a caring and supportive nature, and is client-focused.
