- Band 7 salary, commencing at $108,846 per annum plus superannuation (dependent on skills and experience)
The Opportunity
As a Senior HR Business Partner, you will provide expert, end-to-end HR support and partner with leaders to embed strong people practices that uplift culture, capability, and performance.
Key areas of focus initially include:
- Strategic and day-to-day partnering with leaders
- Coaching and supporting managers in all aspects of employee management
- Advising on and managing employee relations and industrial relations matters
- Supporting cultural improvement initiatives and workforce delivery outcomes
Please note: the primary focus of the role may evolve depending on emerging and identified HR needs across the organisation. Flexibility and adaptability will be key in this dynamic environment.
In addition, your portfolio of internal client groups (Directorates/Departments) may shift over time in line with operational structure or business need.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, professional advice on HR policy, employment law, EA interpretation and employee lifecycle activities.
- Partner with leaders to manage employee relations matters including performance, misconduct, grievances, and investigations.
- Lead or support recruitment of complex or senior roles, including position design, classification, and system approvals.
- Collaborate with People & Culture colleagues to deliver on key initiatives, projects, and continuous improvement.
- Act as a trusted advisor in workforce planning, talent acquisition, organisational design, and culture uplift.
- Maintain effective relationships with union representatives and contribute to EA consultation and dispute resolution.
What You'll Bring
- Strong generalist HR experience in a senior advisory or business partnering capacity.
- Demonstrated ER/IR experience providing advice and support in complex employee and industrial relations matters, including performance management, disciplinary processes, investigations, and the resolution of EA claims and disputes.
- Experience coaching leaders to build capability and manage team performance effectively.
- Flexibility to work across a broad remit and adapt to shifting business needs.
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with a collaborative and outcomes-focused mindset.
