About Us

Real Smart Group is a cross-border consulting firm specialising in employer-sponsored migration solutions and business settlement pathways between China and Australia. We work closely with Australian employers and Chinese agency networks to deliver end-to-end migration support. With an expanding client base in the 482/186/DAMA/408 visa segments, we are now seeking an experienced Registered Migration Agent who can take the lead on visa strategy, client engagement, and regulatory compliance.

The Opportunity

This is a remote contract-based position (part-time to start) with potential for full-time conversion within 3 months. You’ll be joining a lean, results-oriented team with strong internal support and established client channels – your focus will be visa success, not chasing leads.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct detailed client consultations with a focus on 482 TSS, 186 ENS, 400&407&408 Activity, and DAMA visas categories

Liaise with Australian employers and Chinese migration agents on nomination planning and role assessments

Review, finalise, and in some cases assist with submission of employer and visa applications

Provide compliance advice to clients regarding sponsorship obligations and eligibility risks

Collaborate with internal operations team (document processors and admin support) to ensure timely lodgements

Contribute to internal training, workflow improvements, or policy updates where appropriate

Key Responsibilities

Conduct consultations for 482/186 ENS, DAMA, 400/407/408 Temporary Activity, and general Skilled/Employer Migration pathways

Lead skills assessment strategy for trades and professionals (e.g. VETASSESS, TRA, Engineers Australia)

Review and quality-check nomination applications, employer docs, and visa submissions

Liaise with both employer sponsors and international applicants (Chinese-speaking a strong bonus)

Ensure all applications comply with relevant legislation and professional standards

Occasionally contribute to internal training, process optimisation, or compliance content

You Bring

Active MARA registration, with 3+ years of experience in employer-sponsored and skills-based visas

Hands-on experience with skills assessments (particularly VETASSESS, TRA, etc.) is highly regarded

Proven ability to manage multiple cases independently, meet deadlines, and maintain high accuracy

Clear understanding of ANZSCO occupation mapping and sponsorship compliance

Excellent client communication – both written and verbal

Fluent in English and Chinese (Mandarin) highly preferred

Bonus: NAATI L3 translation certification, Australian legal background
