Three Point Classic, has three strategically located branches throughout Brisbane. The current vacancy is at our Sumner Park branch. Three Point Classic service centres are dedicated to delivering exceptional service and maintenance for high-end European car brands. We specialise in vehicles from manufacturers such as Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Audi, Volkswagen, and more. Our workshops are hubs of expertise, where passion for automotive excellence meets outstanding customer service.

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Assistant Service Manager/Workshop Controller to join our growing Sumner Park team and drive it to new heights.

The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organised individual to support the daily operations of our Sumner Park service centre. This is a pivotal role that combines leadership, customer service, and operational management to ensure the smooth running of the centre. The successful candidate will assist in managing customer interactions, coordinating parts and inventory, and delegating tasks to our skilled team of mechanics and apprentices. Whilst there may be some hands -on work the majority of the time will be spent focused on workflow management, team coordination, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Management:

Act as a primary point of contact for customers, providing professional and friendly service.

Understand customer needs, explain service requirements, and providing accurate cost estimates.

Manage customer bookings, follow-ups, and post-service feedback to ensure an exceptional experience.

Resolve customer concerns or complaints promptly and professionally to maintain high satisfaction levels.

Workshop Operations:

In conjunction with the Branch Manager oversee the daily operations of the workshop, ensuring efficient workflow and timely completion of services and repairs.

Delegate tasks to mechanics and apprentices based on skill levels, job complexity, and deadlines.

Monitor job progress, ensuring all work meets Three Point Classic’s quality standards and manufacturer specifications.

Parts and Inventory Management:

Manage parts ordering, stock levels, and inventory to ensure availability for scheduled jobs.

Track parts usage and ensure accurate documentation for billing and inventory records.

Team Leadership:

Supervise and mentor a team of mechanics and apprentices, fostering a positive and productive work environment.

Conduct regular team briefings to communicate priorities, share updates, and address operational challenges.

Administrative Duties:

Maintain accurate records of services, repairs, and customer interactions using workshop management software.

Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and organised workshop.

Key Requirements

Experience and Background:

A strong background in mechanical repairs or automotive service, with an understanding of vehicle maintenance processes.

Interpersonal Skills:

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to liaise with customers, staff, and suppliers.

Technical and Computer Skills:

Average proficiency with computers, including workshop management software, Microsoft Office, and inventory systems.

Personal Attributes:

Highly organised, with excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
