About This Opportunity

As the Change Lead for the University's Salesforce CRM implementation, you will spearhead the development and execution of change management strategies that ensure successful adoption and sustained use of new technologies. You thrive in complex environments, collaborating closely with diverse stakeholders to drive user engagement, readiness, and capability. Your expertise in organisational change, strong communication skills, and ability to coach leaders will be vital in embedding new ways of working and achieving the University's strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Develop a change management strategy aligned with UQ and ITS goals.
  • Integrate change activities into the overall program plan and governance.
  • Identify and manage stakeholders, considering UQ's complex structure.
  • Maintain relationships and feedback loops to address resistance.
  • Assess change impact and complete relevant plans.
  • Evaluate user readiness and take actions to support adoption.
  • Develop and manage communication materials and program collateral.
  • Identify training needs and coordinate development and delivery of training.
  • Define success metrics and monitor progress.
  • Track risks, issues, and change adoption levels.
  • Develop implementation and handover plans for long-term change reinforcement.
  • Champion change agility and continuous improvement.
  • Coach leaders and managers in leading change.
  • Mentor others and contribute to organisational change capability.

Organisational Environment

Working in The Division of Information Technology Services (ITS), This role will collaborate closely with key stakeholders within the Advancement & Community Engagement (ACE) division to enhance the ACE technology ecosystem in, alignment with the UQ's strategic objectives. Advancement and Community Engagement leads activities and services that help to raise the profile of UQ with alumni, industry partners and current and prospective donors. By raising awareness of the University's vision, goals and achievements, Advancement and Community Engagement helps position UQ as a destination for philanthropy, ensuring future generations of thought leaders and solution finders have access to an education that only a University in the world's top 100 can provide.

About You

Essential Criteria

  • Qualifications: Postgraduate qualifications (or near completion) in change management, project management, business, or equivalent experience.
  • Change Management Expertise: Proven success in leading change within large-scale IT programs, with a focus on people, processes, and culture.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Strong ability to influence and coach senior leaders in complex environments, ideally in higher education.
  • Communication Skills: Skilled in crafting and delivering communication strategies across diverse audiences and channels.
  • Results-Driven: Proactive, self-motivated, and outcome-focused, with strong teamwork and independent work capabilities.
  • Digital Literacy: Proficient in tools like Microsoft Office, Teams, Jira, SharePoint, Canva, Power BI, and change management platforms (e.g., ADKAR).
  • Resilience & Empathy: High emotional intelligence and ability to support others through change.
  • Capability Building: Experience mentoring and fostering a culture of adaptability and continuous improvement.
  • Evaluation Skills: Ability to define success metrics, monitor adoption, and evaluate change effectiveness.

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience with Salesforce or CRM implementations.
  • Experience in the higher education sector.
