The Digital Health Solutions Team at the Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for a Senior Pharmacist (Digital Change & Learning) to join their team on a permanent basis.

Your opportunity

The Digital Hospital Solutions team supports the state-wide Integrated Electronic Medical Record (ieMR) solution and offers opportunity to be involved in training delivery and system adoption, as well as change management and process redesign. The functionality of ieMR at this HHS includes Medication Management, Anaesthetics, SurgiNet, FirstNet, Care Delivery, Renal and Powerchart Maternity solutions and includes device integration for ECG and CTG.

About the Team

  • The Digital Change and Learning Pharmacist understands eHealth/clinical information systems and can ensure staff within MHHS effectively and efficiently utilise the new solutions and devices associated with the Digital Hospital. The key focus is to provide support for the adoption of an electronic medications management solution dedicated to providing secure, effective, integrated patient care delivery systems that continually improves outcomes, reduces costs, increase efficiency, and enhances patient's experiences.
  • The Digital Change and Learning Pharmacist is expected to provide high level comprehensive consultancy on clinical pharmacy and workflow issues, effectively leading change across multiple areas acute and community, and deliver training to staff on effective use of digital solutions within the MHHS, as determined through the Health Service Plan and priorities.
  • This role is responsible for developing and maintaining change and training material as well as ensuring successful delivery of training and business readiness activities as assigned to a multidisciplinary team or service area.
