We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Cook to join our team.

Stretton Early Years and Kindergarten is a privately owned and operated Centre in Calamvale, Brisbane South. We are committed to providing exceptional early childhood education and care to children in our community. We pride ourselves on fostering an environment where children can explore, learn, and grow in a safe and supportive setting.

We are looking for a highly motivated Centre Cook who can manage our kitchen space and provide healthy and nutritious meals to 87 children per day. The role will be responsible for menu planning, ordering, prepping and cooking daily meals.

We also have a Mini Masterchef Program for all the children, where they come for a fun experience to the kitchen area, to help prepare their morning tea, lunch or afternoon tea.

Our Centre offers Breakfast, Morning Tea, Lunch and Afternoon Tea. We cater for all allergies and cultural requirements in our centre, so awareness of proper procedures is essential in the day to day management of the kitchen.

We are a Nature Play Centre and a large component of our learning experiences are outside. We have an embedded Bush Kindy Program, where children are able to attend weekly excursions to our numerous Bush Kindy sites, Community Garden and Fire Pit.

Here's what we'll be looking for from you:

• Food Safety Supervisor Certification.
• Understanding of menu planning, ordering, prepping and cooking daily meals.
• Fostering a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that promotes children's curiosity, creativity, and wellbeing.
