About the role

Burpengary Play and Learn is seeking an experienced and passionate Early Childhood Teacher to join our team on a part-time basis. As an Early Childhood Teacher, you will play a crucial role in shaping the minds and development of young children aged 3-5 years old at our Burpengary, QLD 4505 location.

What you'll be doing

Developing and implementing engaging, age-appropriate educational programs that foster children's physical, cognitive, social and emotional growth

Providing a nurturing, safe and stimulating learning environment that aligns with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)

Observing and assessing children's progress, and using this information to tailor learning experiences

Communicating regularly with parents/guardians to build strong partnerships and support each child's individual needs

Collaborating with the wider educational team to share best practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the centre

Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with all relevant child care regulations and legislation

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field

Minimum 2 years' experience as an Early Childhood Teacher, preferably in a long day care or preschool setting

Strong understanding of child development and the ability to create engaging, play-based learning experiences

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues

Demonstrated commitment to continuous professional development and a passion for early childhood education

Current Working with Children Check and First Aid certification
