About the role

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Early Childhood Cook to join the team at A Country Garden Early Childhood Centres' in Toowoomba, QLD. In this part-time role, you will be responsible for planning, preparing and providing nutritious meals and snacks for the children in our care.

What you'll be doing

Monday to Friday - 8am to 1pm roster.

Plan, prepare and cook healthy, balanced meals and snacks for the children

Ensure all food preparation and serving areas are clean, hygienic and well-maintained

Comply with food safety regulations and guidelines

Collaborate with the Early Childhood Educators to accommodate any dietary requirements or preferences

Work within budgets to order, receive and store food and supplies

Maintain detailed records of menus, stock levels and expenditure

Driving centre courtesy bus for school drop offs (regular car licence)

What we're looking for

Relevant qualifications in Commercial Cookery or Hospitality

Demonstrated experience in a similar early childhood or childcare setting

Strong knowledge of nutrition, food safety and hygiene practices

Excellent time management and organisational skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Passion for providing high-quality, nutritious meals for young children
