We are seeking a Business Services Manager to join a collaborative team that delivers accounting, tax, and financial services to a broad range of clients.

About the role:
This role combines leadership, client engagement, and technical tax/accounting expertise in a values-driven and forward-thinking environment. This role offers the opportunity to lead a team, manage client relationships, and contribute to the efficiency and growth of the business. You’ll work closely with clients and internal teams to ensure accurate compliance work, advisory input, and strong service delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring a holistic understanding of their needs.
- Provide expert guidance on tax, accounting, and general business matters.
- Lead a team of accountants, overseeing workflow management and internal processes.
- Monitor and review compliance work (including outsourced components) to ensure quality and timeliness.
- Contribute to internal process improvement and ensure alignment with professional standards.
- Actively promote the firm’s full suite of services and cross-functional collaboration.
- Support business growth through community presence and referrals.
Qualifications:
- A degree in Commerce or Business.
- CA or CPA qualification.
- 10+ years of experience in the Australian accounting industry.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a diverse range of clients and navigate varying business dynamics.
- Advanced knowledge of accounting standards and complex business taxation issues.
- Proven ability to manage deadlines and deliver high-quality outcomes.
- Strong skills in building and nurturing cross-functional relationships.
- Effective negotiation skills and the ability to influence outcomes.
- High-level leadership capabilities with experience in mentoring and team development.
- Strong team player with a collaborative mindset.
- Excellent interpersonal skills built on trust, openness, and professionalism.
- Ability to develop and sustain long-term client relationships.
