The Team:
Population Screening and Cancer Prevention (PSCP) oversees the delivery of the three national population screening programs to the Tasmanian population:
- the Tasmanian Bowel Cancer Prevention Program
- the Tasmanian Cervical Cancer Prevention Program
- BreastScreen Tasmania.
The area’s health promotion unit, Screening Recruitment and Cancer Prevention, undertakes clinical education and community engagement strategies to encourage eligible Tasmanians to participate. PSCP also manages the delivery of the Diagnostic Breast Imaging service, which will provide public diagnostic imaging services to the Tasmanian community.
The Role:
This role is part of the Information and Data Systems team and contributes to the management, interrogation and analysis of BreastScreen Tasmania program data including
- collecting, processing, disseminating and analysing data
- undertaking quality assurance tasks relating to the collection and retrieval of client and clinical data.
You will need:
- Experience working as part of a small team and managing medical records and information management systems.
- A high level of oral and written communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to negotiate and liaise with a wide range of people.
- Demonstrated practical experience working with information technology within health and/or business environments including the ability to proficiently use personal computers and a wide range of software applications such as MS Word, MS Excel and MS Access and information management systems.

Details of appointment:
Fixed Term full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible until 31 December 2025.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $81,915 to $94,263 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022
