Our Service
Pinnaroo OOSH is a community based Out of School Hours Care service licenced for 110 children and operating out of Winmalee Public School.
At our service we are lucky to have a wonderful and supportive team, with passionate educators leading each quality area and engaged parents managing our committee.
We are a wage retention grant applicant and forward above award rates on to educators in line with the grant.
The Roles
Our leadership team works collaboratively to guide our practice, striving for a high quality care for our community. We are looking for enthusiastic educators to join us in a number of new, and existing, leadership roles, bringing fresh ideas and individuality to our service.
Our service values our educators and substantial in-house training and paid professional development opportunities are available for successful candidates.
Available Roles:
Families and Communities Leader (QA6)
Environment and Sustainability (QA3)
Inclusion Support Educator (new IDFM funded position to support the children in our care!)
Centre Cook
Hours:
20-30 hours per week (dependant on candidate preference) consisting of:
Minimum four afternoons per week - 3 or 4 hr shifts between 2 – 6.30pm
Optional mornings available between 6.30am – 9am.
A variety of shifts, and extra hours available during Vacation Care.
Additional hours and exact shift times are negotiable for the right candidate.
Minimum of 4 hours paid administration time each week (to be completed outside of face to face hours) inclusive of time for allocated programming, weekly meetings and designated Quality Area administration tasks.
Responsibilities
Face to Face hours – hands on, active supervision and care of children and the implementation of programmed activities
Weekly programming and educational documentation
The leadership of the key quality area in line with MTOP and NQS - managing projects and guiding practice.
Ensuring a high-quality standard of care is provided and that a happy, safe and professional environment is maintained for all
“Responsible Person on Duty” responsibilities for delegated shifts
Essential Criteria
Recent experience working with children in an OOSH/OSHC or Early Childhood environment.
Knowledge of the National Quality Framework, My Time Our Place, National Quality Standard and National Regulations and Law.
Experience with program planning is desirable, preferably in an OOSH/OSHC setting, however mentoring is available.
Ability to work effectively as a member of a team, to show initiative and work unsupervised
Strong computer skills
Excellent communication, time management and organisational skills
CHCPRT025 Identify and respond to children and young people at risk certificate (or willingness to obtain)
HLTAID004 Provide an emergency first aid response in & education and care setting (or willingness to obtain)
Cleared and valid Working With Children Check (WWCC) Number
