As a Funeral Operations Assistant, you’ll play a vital behind-the-scenes role, helping to ensure that every service — and every family — is supported with professionalism and respect.

We are currently seeking casual team members to assist with:

Transfer duties (during business hours and after hours)

Occasional support at funeral services

General logistical and care responsibilities

No funeral experience? That’s okay. Full training is provided, and an immediate start is available for the right person.

About the Role

As a Funeral Operations Assistant, you’ll:

Assist with the respectful transfer of deceased persons from hospitals, residences, aged care, and coronial settings

Prepare venues for funerals and viewings, including setup and pack-down

Support the Funeral Directors during services with logistics and presentation

Uphold high standards of dignity, appearance, and service — always

Represent our brand with empathy and professionalism, especially in emotionally sensitive environments

About You

To be successful in this role, you will:

Be compassionate, calm, and emotionally mature

Have excellent attention to detail and take pride in your presentation

Be physically fit and capable of manual handling (including lifting and movement)

Be available for on-call after hours and weekend duties

Hold a current Open Driver’s Licence

Be reliable, respectful, and able to remain composed in challenging moments
