APAC FM have been exclusively engaged to recruit a dynamic State Operations Manager | HVAC for an industry-leading, multi-disciplinary services group. This is a rare opportunity to lead their top-performing HVAC division in Australia, with a full P&L responsibility of $6m+.

You’ll play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence, expanding key customer relationships, and contributing to the company’s ongoing national growth.

Your day-to-day will involve:

Collaborating closely with the Group General Manager (GGM) and Directors to ensure Melbourne’s HVAC operations run at their peak—focusing on operational performance, client satisfaction, and financial success.

Driving growth through strategic business development and maximising value from existing key customers.

Full P&L management of the HVAC division, including contract renewals, budgeting, cost control, and forecasting.

Leading a high-performing team of 20+ across field staff, service managers, account managers, applications engineers, and administration.

Conducting regular staff meetings, coaching, performance reviews, and ensuring the team is supported, trained, and empowered to succeed.

Providing regular reports to the GGM & Directors in line with business KPIs.

What we’re looking for:

Proven HVAC leadership experience - you’ll have directly managed service teams in the past.

Strong P&L management expertise and a track record of delivering growth and profitability.

A natural communicator, comfortable liaising with key clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.

Strategic thinker who identifies opportunities for business improvement, growth, and innovation.
