About the role

As the Retail Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of dealership operations, with a strong focus on team leadership, customer service, and business performance. You’ll play a key role in shaping sales strategies, ensuring operational efficiency, and maintaining a customer-first approach in everything we do.

As a part of this role your responsibilities will include:

Lead, manage, and motivate the sales team to consistently achieve sales and profitability targets

Oversee daily dealership operations, ensuring a smooth and professional customer journey

Monitor and manage vehicle inventory, pricing strategy, merchandising, and display

Develop and implement sales, promotional, and marketing strategies to attract new customers

· Ensure compliance with automotive industry standards, finance regulations, and workplace policies

· Deliver performance reporting and strategic insights to company directors

· Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, finance brokers, and service providers

· Handle escalated customer issues with professionalism and efficiency

· Assist in recruitment, training, and development of sales and support staff

Skills and experience

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

Minimum 1 year of experience in a retail, automotive or dealership management role

Proven ability to lead a team and drive business results

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate

Demonstrated experience meeting or exceeding sales targets

Familiarity with automotive sales systems and procedures

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

A proactive, hands-on approach to problem solving and team leadership
