Your part in our UnitingCare team
As Service Leader you will oversee service operations at existing Project SEARCH sites while supporting the implementation of new program sites across Greater Brisbane, Ipswich and Toowoomba.
The Project SEARCH program is a unique, business-led, one-year employment preparation program that takes place entirely at a Host Workplace. This role will see you:
Supporting the achievement of core activities within the Programs expansion project, ensuring that key deliverables in relation to site implementation and referral of eligible participants to new and existing sites are accomplished
Leading service delivery operations in line with the Project SEARCH Model Fidelity, practice frameworks and legislative, regulatory and licensing requirements
Working in partnership with the service delivery team to implement and promote best practice in delivering high quality, individualised, outcome focused supports, aligned to each participant’s employment goals
Developing, implementing and executing an Annual Program Delivery Plan for each designated program site
Leading the development of a range of internships designed to teach participants competitive and marketable skills that are transferrable to jobs within the community
Lead service delivery teams in undertaking a comprehensive assessment of each participant to inform Individual Employment Plans, Risk Assessments and individual servicing requirements
In collaboration with service delivery teams and relevant stakeholders, develop effective employer engagement strategies designed to secure employment opportunities for participants
Play in active role in the recruitment, on-boarding, induction and ongoing professional development of employees
Lead and provide direct support, coaching and supervision to front line staff to ensure role based key performance indicators, practice frameworks, quality care standards and legislative requirements are met
Oversee site based budgets and perform a range of administrative tasks to support effective and efficient financial and billing practices.
Monitor and review NDIS plans to ensure that each participant maintains the necessary funding for ongoing participation in the program
What makes a difference for us?
Tertiary Qualification in a relevant field (e.g. Humans Services, Management) OR lesser formal qualifications with acquisition of considerable skills, extensive and diverse relevant experience to an equivalent standard
Demonstrated understanding of the NDIS environment, funding and reporting models, service delivery models, and quality service frameworks.
Demonstrated understanding of best practice models to support people with a disability to achieve their employment related goals.
Demonstrated ability to build, develop, and lead high performing teams.
Advanced written and oral communication skills, with proven ability to communicate with influence, maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Current Driver’s Licence and Positive Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening Check
