About the role
Permanent part time opportunity to provide for the needs of patients within the public outpatients' system referred for the management of gender health and gender-affirming hormone therapies, that cannot currently be met by Primary Care.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Participate in Gender Services outpatient clinics for the clinical management of Transgender, Non-Binary and Gender Diverse patients who have commenced treatment of Gender-affirming Hormone Therapy.
- Treat both new and review Gender Service patients.
- Provide education and increase knowledge of community services such as GPs and local health networks, to ensure better access and continuity of care for a vulnerable group of patients.
- Treat patients and their families with courtesy and sympathy and treat all hospital staff and professional colleagues with courtesy and respect.
