We’re on the lookout for a proactive and passionate Safety, Health and Wellbeing Advisor to join our dynamic team at the City of Melville. In this people-focused role, you’ll support the delivery of WHS strategies and play a key part in nurturing a positive safety culture across the organisation.

Location: City of Melville Civic Centre
Salary: $82,931.49 - $95,984.48 + 11.5% super
Employment Type: Fixed Term 3 Months, Full Time with possibility of extension
What You’ll Be Doing:
Supporting the development and delivery of safety, health and wellbeing strategies
Advising on risk and compliance aligned with WHS legislation and policies
Conducting site visits, audits, investigations and developing action plans
Leading training sessions, safety meetings, and supporting Safety Representatives
Managing systems like ChemAlert and contributing to organisational safety reporting
Building strong relationships across teams to embed a culture of continuous safety improvement
What We’re Looking For:
A tertiary qualification in Work Health and Safety and current C Class Driver’s Licence
Strong experience in WHS advisory roles, especially in diverse or high-risk work environments
Excellent understanding of WHS legislation, policies, and best practices
Experience with training, auditing, investigations and safety system management
Exceptional communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills
A collaborative spirit with a proactive approach to risk and safety challenges

Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
