About Us
Alcyone Group is a growing Queensland-based property and accommodation management business. With a strong reputation for high standards and professional service, we manage strata-titled apartment buildings across both short-term and long-term accommodation sectors. Due to ongoing expansion, we are seeking an experienced Senior Building Caretaker to join our team at a premium permanent residential building in Maroochydore.

About the Role
This full-time role is suited to a hands-on individual with experience in residential or facilities caretaking. You'll be responsible for ensuring the building's common property is well-presented, clean, safe, and compliant. While supported by a broader management team, you'll take the lead onsite in day-to-day caretaking and coordinate with our contractors and support staff where necessary.

Key Responsibilities

Perform daily cleaning and presentation duties (lobbies, rooftop, pool, carpark, lifts, amenities)

Conduct basic maintenance and handyman tasks across common areas

Identify and log asset defects and liaise with contractors (e.g., lift, fire, pest, pool)

Complete routine WHS and fire safety checks (e.g. doors, lighting, access systems)

Maintain a tidy and compliant manager's storeroom

Report to and liaise with the Group General Manager

Supervise or assist junior caretaking staff as needed

What We're Looking For

Previous experience in caretaking, facilities, or building maintenance

Strong handyman/repair aptitude

Understanding of WHS and compliance inspections

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Good communication skills and a proactive attitude

Pool certification (desirable but not essential)

Physically fit and able to lift up to 20kg
