Production Leader – North Wollongong

Prep Productions is a proudly Australian, family-owned manufacturer and wholesaler of timber finishes and plaster products, supplying the paint and hardware market. Based in North Wollongong, we’re a small, close-knit team passionate about quality, safety, and getting the job done right.

We’re currently seeking a hands-on Production Leader to oversee and participate in the day-to-day operations of our manufacturing facility. This is a permanent, full-time role offering the opportunity to take ownership of production and inventory processes while working alongside a small team.

Key Responsibilities

Set up and operate a manual production line for labelling, blending, and filling products

Work collaboratively with a team of 2–4 people

Pick and pack customer orders for dispatch

Manage inward goods and stock movement

Liaise with management on production scheduling and purchasing

Ensure equipment is maintained and serviced

Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment

About You

Current forklift licence with high-reach experience (essential)

Minimum 2 years’ experience leading teams in a manufacturing environment

Practical, hands-on leadership style — you lead by example

Strong focus on safety, quality, and team culture

Mechanical aptitude is a bonus, but not essential

What to Expect

This is a physically demanding and repetitive role in a manufacturing environment that involves working with powders and chemicals. PPE is provided, and safety is a top priority.
