About the role

Based in our Head office in Essendon Fields, an excellent career opportunity exists for an Hardware Assembly Technician who has a strong desire to contribute and participate in the exciting opportunities arising within a dynamic, technology business with growth and expansion plans.

Working collaboratively with key internal stakeholders, this position is responsible for the assembly, testing and quality control of products, primarily airport kiosks and automated bag drops.

Some of the key responsibilities include:

Hardware assembly of mechanical and electrical devices.

Commissioning products in the warehouse.

Quality Assurance of finished goods.

Use of test benches and software testing configuration.

Reading of mechanical drawings and troubleshooting.

Assemble aviation devices following approved designs.

Skills and experience

Experience

Must be an Australian Citizen or have Permanent Residency.

3+ years experience in hardware assembly

Experience in:

Mechanical assembly

Cable management

Reading electrical schematics and cable drawings

Familiarity of Windows Operating Systems

Familiarity of Microsoft Office product suite, notably Word and Excel

Understanding of ISO 9001 requirements.

Skills:

Strong verbal and written communication skills and an ability to maintain excellent relationships with a range of key stakeholders.

Good organisational skills with an ability to plan and prioritise competing work requirements and work towards tight deadlines.

Adaptable and able to work autonomously and in dynamic, fast paced team environment.

Proactive and reactive problem solving skills with an ability to “think outside the box”

Bonus Points for the Following:

Experience in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).
