As a Commissioning Engineer, you’ll play a key role in ensuring safe and efficient project start-up and facility operations. This is a site-based position on a 2:1 roster from Sydney, Brisbane or Melbourne, requiring a hands-on, solutions-driven approach in dynamic environments.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement commissioning management plans and support the deployment of completions management systems

Align pre-commissioning and commissioning systems with Advanced Work Packaging (AWP) and data-centric construction methods

Drive systemisation and sub-systemisation, manage ITPs and FICs, and ensure smooth completions and handover to the client

Coordinate and communicate commissioning activities across site teams, contractors, and vendors

Lead troubleshooting and provide technical guidance across a range of commissioning scopes

Contribute to continuous improvement through post-project reviews and Lessons Learned workshops

Maintain strong safety standards and actively promote a safety-first culture across all activities

Requirements:

Engineering degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline

Extensive experience in commissioning, completions, and construction/start-up operations

Prior experience in materials handling or mineral sands processing highly desirable

Proficient in Hexagon Smart Completions or similar completions management systems

Strong knowledge of commissioning procedures, construction methodologies, and system integration

Proven ability to lead, mentor, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams

Excellent communication skills and ability to interface with clients and contractors
