The Role:
The Bushman’s Arms Hotel is looking for a dedicated Venue Manager to oversee operations and lead our iconic regional hotel. Success in this role means embracing the spirit of country hospitality and creating unforgettable experiences for both loyal locals and visiting guests.
Building and mentoring your team will be key to your success as well as a passion for driving new and exciting initiatives in and around the venue.
Your Key Responsibilities
Lead, motivate and inspire your team to fulfil their potential through cultivation of an inclusive and collaborative workplace culture;
Recruitment, induction and training of all department teams, including, product education, training and rostering;
Working with your Area Manager to develop exciting Cocktail and Beverage lists;
Management and training of POS systems across the venue including menu updates, user management and correct use of systems per venue policy;
Utilise marketing mediums to deliver timely, creative, and effective messaging to drive loyalty, leading to revenue growth and up to date events communications; and
Management of Financial budgets and targets through food and beverage, ensuring operational requirements are maintained within target whilst having a continuous improvement mindset to streamline operations where possible.
About you
Skills and attributes
Experience in building a venue that is driven to succeed, thirsty for knowledge and driven to provide new concepts and experiences;
Customer facing and willing to get your hands dirty!
Well organised and able to work under pressure and to deadlines;
Attention to detail with an eye for presentation and quality;
Able to accept significant levels of responsibility and accountability;
Ability to train, motivate and counsel staff in identified performance opportunities;
RSA, RSG, Advanced Gaming and Responsible Person certificates essential;
Experience using GFR PRO and H&L highly regarded; and
Formal qualifications in Hospitality/Business Management highly desirable however not essential.
