As the Business & Investment Advisor, you will be responsible for driving economic growth by promoting the City as a desirable location for business investment, development, and innovation and support the implementation and coordination of the City's strategic economic development initiatives and functions.

What we will offer you:
- Permanent, full-time position (35 hours per week).
- Remuneration of $3,638.14 gross per fortnight with the opportunity to progress to $4,365.77 gross per fortnight + superannuation (11.5%).

Your new role:
Key responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:
- Identify key sectors and businesses considering relocation or expansion within Wagga Wagga and develop an understanding of their economic and business needs.
- Develop and implement a program to attract new businesses to Wagga Wagga including relocation to the Special Activation Precinct (SAP) or other areas within the City.
- Market the City and develop pitches to businesses highlighting Wagga Wagga as a place to live, work and invest, including development of inward investment promotional materials and representation of the City at local business and industry forums, expos and conferences.
- Develop and support strong working relationships with the City's business, industry networks and relevant Government Agencies.
- Undertake consultation as required to seek business input into economic development activities and identify priorities.
- Promote economic development and embrace new opportunities to allow businesses of all sizes in our region to thrive and innovate.
- Act as a business concierge for businesses in their dealings with Council.
- Assist in the delivery of outcomes from economic development strategies and master plans.
- Prepare correspondence, reports, presentations, and promotional materials.
What you will need to succeed:
In order to be successful in this role, you must have:
- Class C Drivers Licence;
- Qualifications relevant to the role i.e., Business, Marketing, Commerce, and/or relevant experience;
- Substantial business and/or commercial industry experience relevant to the role; and
- A strong awareness of business or industry drivers that enable success and growth.
