Outreach Team Leader

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of women and children experiencing domestic and family violence?
Do you have the leadership skills and commitment to support a dynamic, responsive team in delivering life-changing services?

Dawn House is seeking a Domestic Violence Outreach Team Leader to lead and support the delivery of a new, innovative program designed to keep women safe in their own homes. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in the growth and impact of our services in the Darwin community.

About the Role

As the Team Leader, you will provide strategic and day-to-day leadership to the Outreach team, which delivers specialised case management to women experiencing domestic and family violence. This includes overseeing the Safe at Home initiative—designed to support women to live safely without leaving their homes—as well as the Housing Pathways program, which connects clients with secure, long-term accommodation solutions.

This is a hands-on leadership role, balancing team supervision, stakeholder engagement, and continuous service improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Provide supervision, guidance, and support to outreach case workers.

Oversee service delivery to ensure it aligns with best practice and trauma-informed principles.

Lead the implementation of the new Safe at Home program and support the expansion of housing pathways.

Monitor data, reporting, and compliance with funding and policy requirements.

Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including housing services, police, and community organisations.

Promote a culture of collaboration, respect, and continuous learning.

About You

You are a skilled leader with a strong understanding of domestic and family violence and a commitment to women’s safety and empowerment. You bring empathy, professionalism, and strategic thinking to your role and thrive in fast-paced, evolving service environments.

You will have:

Relevant tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, or related field.

Proven leadership or team supervision experience in a social services context.

Deep understanding of domestic and family violence, including risk assessment and safety planning.

Experience in case management and working within a trauma-informed framework.

Knowledge of housing systems and barriers facing women escaping violence.

High-level communication, problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills.

Why Join Dawn House?

Be part of an organisation with over 40 years of advocacy and frontline service in the Northern Territory.

Lead a newly established team shaping innovative approaches to domestic violence response.

Enjoy a supportive work culture focused on staff wellbeing, reflective practice, and professional growth.

Salary packaging and generous leave entitlements available.

How to Apply

If you are passionate about supporting women and children and meet the above criteria, we would love to hear from you. Please submit your application, including a cover letter and resume.
