Team Leader – Diploma Qualified Educator

Are you a passionate and experienced early childhood educator ready to step into a leadership role? Little Joey’s Early Learning Centre is seeking a warm, motivated Team Leader to support our educators, children and families through high-quality, child-led practices—while also assisting with centre operations alongside our Assistant Director.

About the Role:

This role offers the perfect blend of hands-on leadership, team mentoring, connecting and educating with our children and operational support. As a Team Leader, you will work closely with the Assistant Director to support room practices, mentor educators, and step into administrative duties when required. This is a 12 Month Maternity Leave replacement contract commencing July 2025.

Your Key Responsibilities:

Lead a team of educators with a positive and professional outlook to deliver a high-quality, engaging educational program

Work with our ECT to deliver high quality planning, documentation, and child-led learning experiences

Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues

Collaborate with the Assistant Director on day-to-day centre operations

Take on administrative responsibilities in the absence of the Assistant Director

Contribute to a reflective and positive team culture aligned with the EYLF and NQS

Champion inclusive practices, reflective teaching, and continuous improvement

We’re Looking For:

A Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent). Applicants working towards Diploma and near completion with leadership experience will be considered.

Experience as a room leader or in a similar role

Strong interpersonal and organisational skills

A nurturing, collaborative leadership style

Confidence with basic administrative tasks, the XPLOR platform and a willingness to learn more

A passion for high-quality education, teamwork and community
