We are seeking a skilled and proactive Production Supervisor to lead our Hydraulic Cylinder Assembly team at our Acacia Ridge facility. This is a key leadership role in a two-shift operation, responsible for overseeing daily production activities, ensuring delivery targets are met, and fostering a culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

About the Role

Reporting to the Head of Production, you'll manage a diverse team of operators that operate across two shifts (day and afternoon), ensuring smooth handovers and seamless workflow throughout the facility. Your focus will be on planning, execution, people leadership, and driving results through accountability, coaching, and collaboration.

You'll also oversee the KanBan system for key customer accounts, contributing directly to our promise of on-time, on-spec delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise daily operations of hydraulic cylinder assembly including welding, testing, painting, and packing

Ensure production output aligns with customer requirements, timelines, and quality standards

Monitor and improve productivity metrics across all shifts

Support and develop team leaders through clear communication, mentorship, and problem-solving

Champion lean manufacturing initiatives and foster a continuous improvement mindset

Maintain compliance with WHSE, quality, and maintenance standards

Collaborate with Maintenance, Quality, and WHSE teams to ensure smooth operations

What We’re Looking For

3+ years’ experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing or production environment

Proven leadership capabilities, with a collaborative, empowering approach

Strong understanding of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles

Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and motivate a team

Comfortable working in a dynamic, hands-on leadership role with changing priorities

Bonus points if you have:

A trade background in mechanical fitting (advantageous but not essential)

Experience working with a KanBan system or similar inventory control
