About us and about the role

We are seeking 1 x talented Cook/Chef and 1 x Waitstaff to join our team at TNS Canteen Services Pty Ltd in Tamworth, NSW. This is a casual position for a Waitress/Waiter and can be Casual/Part Time or Full Time for the right Cook/Chef. We are looking for enthusiastic, creative and reliable staff to assist in our busy Bistro Kitchen. Our bistro offers a family friendly dining experience, serving delicious meals that don't break the bank.

TNS Canteen Services operates multiple food outlets, including Northies Bistro, and 2 local school canteens.

What you'll be doing as a Cook/Chef at Northies Bistro

Food preparation and cooking/serving a variety of bistro-style dishes to a consistently high standard

Assist with menu planning and development

Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment

Ensure all health, safety and hygiene standards are upheld

Work collaboratively with the kitchen and front-of-house teams

Want to work full time? Perfect! Only want to work part-time or casual? Also perfect! We can tailor a roster with hours to suit the right applicant. Whether that's 3, 4 or 5 days a week, we can work around the right applicant.

What you'll be doing as a Waitress/Waiter at Northies Bistro

Possess a positive and enthusiastic attitude and interacting with customers and prospective customers professionally

Taking orders of customers through our POS system

Delivering meals to customers tables

Provide friendly and attentive service to customers

Ensure all health, safety and hygiene standards are upheld, particularly cleaning front of house areas and bistro tables

Work collaboratively with the kitchen and front-of-house teams

What we're looking for

Proven experience as a Bistro Cook/Chef, with a passion for creating delicious meals, and proven experience as a Waitress/Waiter

Strong customer service skills and a friendly, professional demeanour

Excellent time management and organisational abilities

Familiarity with food safety and hygiene regulations

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Relevant qualifications in hospitality would be advantageous

Barista Skills/Qualifications would be advantageous
