As an Air Conditioning Technician at Safari Air Pty Ltd, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing air conditioning systems. As a small business, we mainly focus on domestic jobs, however, also have experience in small commercial jobsites. You will work closely with clients to ensure their systems operate efficiently and effectively, providing top-notch service in both residential and commercial settings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Installation: Install new air conditioning systems, including ductwork, refrigerant lines, and electrical components, ensuring compliance with safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
• Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on air conditioning units, including cleaning, lubricating, and inspecting systems to prevent breakdowns and improve efficiency.
• Repairs: Diagnose and repair issues with air conditioning systems, including electrical failures, refrigerant leaks, and mechanical malfunctions.
• Customer Service: Communicate with clients to explain issues, recommend solutions, and provide clear estimates for repairs or installations.
• Compliance: Adhere to local, state, and federal regulations and codes, including those related to refrigerant handling and environmental safety.

Qualifications:

• Education: Technical training or certification in HVAC systems is preferred. Apprentices also welcome.
• Experience: Proven experience as an air conditioning technician or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of HVAC systems and components.
• Skills: Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing air conditioning systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications are required; 3rd and 4th year apprentices are also welcome to apply.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy equipment, work in various environmental conditions, and perform physically demanding tasks.
