We’re after a true all-rounder who can take charge on site, not just on the tools, but across the whole job.

One of our top team members has just moved on, and we’re looking for a skilled, experienced Fixer & Flusher to step into a full-time Leading Hand role. You’ll handle everything from plasterboard install and finish to site documentation and coordination.

This is hands-on work across small to medium commercial projects office fitouts, medical, aged care, builder upgrades where you’ll lead the plasterboard side from start to finish.

About the Role

This is a leadership role, but still very much on the tools. Your key responsibilities include:

Fixing and flushing plasterboard walls and ceilings to a high standard

Installing suspended ceilings and steel stud partitions when needed

Reading and interpreting construction drawings and scopes

Completing take-offs, running materials, and coordinating on-site needs

Conducting pre-starts, leading toolbox talks, and managing daily sign-ons

Submitting daily site reports and progress photos for record keeping

Reporting directly to our Project Manager with updates, issues, and progress

Maintaining site cleanliness and safety

Supporting junior crew and lending a hand with carpentry tasks when required

What We’re Looking For

At least 5 years’ experience in both fixing and flushing — no exceptions

Strong ability to read plans, scopes, and carry out work unsupervised

Comfortable running small sites and liaising with builders or other trades

Confident managing daily reports, checklists, and photo documentation

White Card, driver’s licence, own vehicle and own tools

Trade certificate in Wall & Ceiling Lining or Carpentry is a bonus but experience matters most

Commercial experience and any carpentry know-how are a bonus

Good communicator, detail-focused, and takes pride in their work
