Star Metal is a leading fabricator with a large workshop and modern machinery and equipment, and undertakes projects in the resources and construction sectors. We are a growing company with large modern premises have a range of CNC machinery including 4kW combined flatbed and tube laser, auto-load turret punch and modern presses.

We fabricate and install a wide diversity of projects and work packages, these include:

Electrical cabinets Balustrading & handrails

Facades and perforates screens

Custom fencing & gates

Miscellaneous metalwork for construction

General fabrication

This is a senior management position reporting to the General Manager. This position has responsibility for;

· Overall financial performance of this division

Managing client relationships and developing opportunities for new business

Management of a workshop team of 8-10

Management of an estimator and draftsperson

High level of safety performance within the team

Ensuring optimum performance and maintenance of machinery

You will have

Excellent communication skills

Sheet metal trade experience

Minimum 10 years experience in sheet metal fabrication

Experience managing a team

Good general computer skills

experience with drafting ideal but not essential

experience quoting and estimating for new work

exposure to financials preferred
