About the role

Adelaide Veterinary Surgical Services is seeking a full-time Veterinary Receptionist to join our dynamic team in Bellevue Heights, approximately 25 minutes south of the city. In this varied and rewarding role, you will be the friendly face and voice of our veterinary practice, providing exceptional customer service and administrative support to our clients and patients. This is a permanent position including working Monday to Friday and including the occasional Saturday, with varied shifts between the hours of 7.45am until 7.15pm.

What you'll be doing

Warmly greeting clients and patients, both in-person and on the phone

Scheduling appointments and managing the clinic's calendar on RX works

Processing payments and maintaining accurate financial records

Handling client inquiries and providing information about our services

Assisting the veterinary team with administrative tasks as needed

Maintaining a clean and organised reception area

Promoting the practice and building lasting relationships with our clients

What we're looking for

Previous experience in a customer service or administrative role, preferably in a veterinary or medical setting

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with clients and team members in a professional and empathetic manner

Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively

Proficient in using computer software, including appointment scheduling and billing systems

A genuine love for animals and a commitment to providing high-quality care

A positive, team-oriented attitude and a willingness to learn and grow
