Provide leadership, direction, and expert technical services in the discovery, adaptation and publishing, description, licensing and reuse of Open Education Resources.

About the Position
As the Open Education Librarian, you will develop and implement strategies to increase the use of open education resources and alternative textbook and course material solutions by leading, planning, implementing and assessing open education programs and services.

About You
To be successful, you will require:

• Degree in relevant field with at least 4 years’ experience in research, library and information management or information technology, or equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training.
• Understanding of open education, its principles, trends, and its intersection with scholarly communication.
• Experience leading programs and outreach efforts, including workshops and communities of practice focused on open education or related topics.
• Experience designing advocacy programs and leading and implementing change.
• High level analytical, research, negotiation, writing and communication skills.
• Knowledge of current best practice for the adoption of open education resources, and high-level understanding of scholarly communication principles.

Remuneration
Appointment to this role will be at Professional Level 7. The base salary will be in the range of $93,475 – $102,606 per annum. The total remuneration package will be in the range of $109,365 - $120,049 per annum, including 17% superannuation.
