About the Opportunities

Civeo Australia are seeking applications from qualified Chefs at all levels including Line Chefs, Sous Chefs, Head Chefs and Executive Chefs. Opportunities are available at various Remote Accommodation Villages across regional Queensland in locations such as Coppabella, Middlemount & Blackwater. DIDO / FIFO / BIBO options vary per role.

If you are an experienced Qualified Chef who has always wanted to work in a remote setting and is interested to learn more about what is on offer, we are offering the opportunity to attend an informative, interactive, and fun-filled recruitment event in Brisbane and or Bundaberg, covering everything related to life at site; the kitchen, the conditions, the rooms, the work, the food!

These positions are responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting high quality food and beverages to an agreed menu and food safe operating standards. With a high focus on time management, attention to detail, and a professional but friendly customer service towards guests and staff.

Your participation at our recruitment event will show you what life with Civeo could be like for you. Please come dressed as you’re going to work including your work boots and knifes, as we are going to have some fun in the kitchen.

What’s in it for you?

Equalised fortnightly pays regardless of roster and role level + Superannuation paid on all rostered hours

Annual Salary $90k-$120k

$17k annual bonus or Flights provided from Brisbane

Work life balance: 14 days on, 7 days off each rotation ensuring rest and relaxation

Food and accommodation provided on site

Full use of on-site facilities such as Gyms, Hubs, and Pools (may vary by Village)

Uniforms supplied (excluding boots and chefs' knives)

About You

To be successful, you will have:

Minimum Certificate III Commercial Cookery, Level 4 or Trade certificate, NVQ City & Guilds Level 3 certificate

Experience in batch/bulk cookery in high volume, fast paced kitchens, and diverse teams

Capability to work well under pressure with Knowledge of HACCAP principles

Flexibility to work, day and/or night shifts as required on 10.5 or 12 hr working days

The ability to pass a pre-employment medical including alcohol and drug screening
