We are a Small Accounting Practice located in Williams Landing, Melbourne.

Our clients range from individuals to small / medium sized business along with SMSF.

Due to our Firm's consistent growth we require a Junior Accountant in a contract position for 18 months with a view to permanency and who is available to commence immediately. The person we are seeking within our team, needs to have a strong background in taxation and accounting field with good communication skills. Experience in an Accounting Firm is essential with 18 to 24 months work experience.

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Preparation of Financials and Income Tax Returns for all entities [Individuals, Companies, Trust & Partnerships]

• Preparation of Business Activity Statements / Instalment Activity Statements
• Liaise with our overseas staff for bookkeeping / payroll for our business clients
• Liaise with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO)
• Maintaining and developing client relationships through resolving queries and advising on tax related matters
• Other tasks as directed

SKILLS:
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Excellent customer service and client focus skills
• Organised and able to meet deadlines
• Strong Knowledge of widely used accounting systems (Xero & QuickBooks)
• Strong attention to detail
• Understanding of complex tax issues like FBT, CGT & Div 7A
