The Opportunity
As the Commercial Business Administration Officer, you will provide high level administrative support to the Commercial Enterprises business unit. You will be the first point of contact for internal and external customer service enquiries, build and maintain spreadsheets and reports, and support the coordinator in the development and review of marketing and strategic plans for Council’s commercial businesses.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring excellent customer service and timely responses across Council Enterprises.
- Provide administrative and systems support, including database management, record keeping, and assistance with programs such as Newbook, Agrinous, and the Microsoft Suite.
- Assist with finance tasks including invoicing, procurement, vendor liaison and reporting.
- Coordinate updates to policies, procedures, marketing plans, and compliance documentation in collaboration with relevant staff.
- Review guest feedback and survey data to deliver insights that drive continuous service improvement.
- Contribute to communications and marketing, including newsletters, social media, promotional materials, and online reputation management.
This is a permanent, full-time opportunity based in Bairnsdale.
Things You’re Proud Of (Key Selection Criteria)
- Relevant experience with business administrative systems and processes.
- A high level of computer literacy with proven ability to use various software applications and adapt to change.
- Demonstrated passion for customer experience with high level verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage busy workloads and to be clear about setting priorities in the context of your own and team objectives.
- Ability to collaborate with others and work effectively in a team environment.
If successful, you will need to undertake a police check. You must also be legally entitled to work in Australia.
