We’re seeking a qualified and proactive Management Accountant to cover a 12-month maternity leave contract. This is a hands-on role that will see you play a pivotal part in budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, and financial process improvement.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead the enhancement of budgeting templates and processes aligned to the Chart of Accounts
• Collaborate with department heads to deliver accurate, insightful budgets and forecasts
• Prepare detailed monthly financial reporting including variance and trend analysis
• Drive improvements in cashflow forecasting and financial modelling
• Identify and implement system/process enhancements using tools like Power BI and Excel Power Query
• Provide guidance across the finance team and support AP, Payroll, and AR functions when required
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations including BAS lodgement and audit support

Requirements:

• A degree-qualified accountant with a CPA or CA (or working towards)
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in management accounting, preferably in complex, multi-department environments
• Proven experience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and cashflow reporting
• Proficiency in ERP systems and reporting tools (Power BI, Excel Power Query etc.)
• Strong interpersonal skills and a team-player mindset
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach and commitment to continuous improvement
