About the role

Sydney Composites is seeking an experienced Foreman / Senior Composite Technician to join our team in our Wetherill Park, NSW facility. This is a full-time position that will play a pivotal role in overseeing and executing composite fabrication projects.

What you'll be doing

Lead and mentor a team of composite technicians to ensure the efficient and high-quality production of composite parts and assemblies

Develop production schedules and procedures to meet customer requirements and deadlines

Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with quality standards, safety protocols and environmental regulations

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise during the manufacturing process

Collaborate with the design and engineering teams to optimise production processes

Maintain accurate records and documentation for all projects

Provide training and development opportunities for junior team members

What we're looking for

Minimum 5 years' experience as a senior composites technician or foreman in a manufacturing environment

Proven track record of leading and motivating a team to achieve production targets

Extensive knowledge of composite materials, fabrication techniques and quality control procedures

Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to address technical challenges

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications

Proficient in the use of composite fabrication equipment and hand tools

Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations and procedures
