Full-time/Part-time/Casual Bus drivers

Wisby’s Buses are a friendly school bus company located in Margate (15 minutes south of Hobart) that have been servicing the Kingborough & Channel areas for more than 40 years. We are looking for experienced bus drivers to join us on a full-time, part-time, and casual basis.

Applicants must have:

a Medium Rigid licence;

a Public Passenger Vehicle licence; and

a Working with Vulnerable People card.

The ability to drive a manual synchromesh transmission would be an asset to an applicant, as would a Heavy Rigid licence. However, these requirements are not essential.

The role entails:

Safely operating a medium rigid bus (up to 12.5 metres length) to a high standard whilst adhering to all relevant regulations & company policies;

Operating contracted school services in the mornings and afternoons during school terms (approximately two hours duration morning and afternoon);

Performing charter work to a variety of destinations;

Performing routine vehicle inspections at the start of the day;

Collecting tickets, money, and keeping records of passenger numbers;

Communicating with our customers courteously and professionally;

Keeping vehicle neat and presentable; and

Presenting neatly for duties.
