Your new role
This is an exciting time in Sacred Heart Mission’s (SHM) history, as we are now working within our bold new strategic plan, Strategy 2030: Serving more people and more communities.
As a part of Strategy 2030, it is key to have a strong Fundraising Team to build SHMs revenue and fund our vital services that provide support to those experiencing homelessness and social disadvantage.
We are seeking a Head of Fundraising to cover the period of 18th August 2025 to 17th August 2026 and ensure everything runs smoothly within the Fundraising team and their respective portfolios.

Your day-to-day
- Lead and support a multi-disciplined fundraising team to deliver on their stewardship plans and budgeted targets.
- Manage the fundraising strategy to ensure Sacred Heart Mission’s five-year financial model, growth, and sustainability targets are met.
- Oversee the organisational interface with all donors and supporters.
- Establish personal connections and build relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, building a positive reputation for SHM in the community.
- Work collaboratively with the broader Engagement and Development Team to deliver forward-thinking initiatives.
We're looking for someone with
- A tertiary qualification in a relevant field (Fundraising, Marketing etc.)
- Strong experience in professional fundraising and demonstrated ability in a similar role.
- A successful track record of developing and delivering successful fundraising strategies and achieving key performance targets.
- Excellent leadership and mentoring skills, with a demonstrated ability in maintaining and supporting high-performing teams.
- Outstanding communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Ability to embed lived experience, participant voice and SHM values into fundraising design and practice.

- Salary range of $135-140K + superannuation (dependent on experience & qualifications).
