With a solid reputation in the industry, this contractor specialises in civil works ranging from $5M to $40M and specialises in a diverse range of services, from civil construction and structural concreting to large-scale commercial landscaping. With a focus on meeting the unique needs of each stakeholder, their experienced teams ensure the successful completion of projects.

The business is on an exciting growth trajectory with plans to double in size and turnover over the next year. This growth is creating a dynamic and fast-paced environment with more complex and varied projects for their team to lead.

We are currently seeking a Project Engineer to join their team and help continue their success in delivering high-value projects. This role provides excellent opportunities for career growth as the business expands, offering stability, variety, and the chance to work on industry-leading projects.

The Role

As a Project Engineer, you will work closely with Project Managers on a range of civil infrastructure projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget and quality standards. The role combines on-site and office-based work, and you’ll be part of a supportive and experienced team. You will:

• Assist with all stages of the project lifecycle, from planning to completion
• Coordinate and oversee engineering activities for civil infrastructure projects
• Ensure compliance with project plans, designs, and specifications
• Build strong working relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders
• Conduct regular Quality Assurance and Health & Safety inspections
• Develop and implement key project documentation, including Work Method Statements and Inspection Test Plans

About You

The ideal candidate will have a proven background as a Project Engineer, with experience in civil infrastructure projects. A tertiary qualification in Project Engineering or a relevant field is essential along with a strong ability to manage projects effectively. Excellent communication skills are key to collaborating with both Project Management and Site Supervisors. This role offers long-term career growth within a supportive, team-focused environment.
