Palliative Care South Australia (PCSA) is a leading charity and independent peak body representing palliative care providers, consumers and their families, and those with an interest in palliative care in South Australia.
We are looking for a Palliative Care SA Volunteering Project Coordinator to join our team. The position is responsible for implementing, tracking the project plan and liaising with our collaborative partners and volunteer coordinators in community settings to support palliative care volunteering in SA.
The PC Volunteering Project Coordinator will be responsible for delivering the following:
Managing project documentation, communication and correspondence both internally and with volunteer managers and stakeholders
Preparation of a range of project related documents including a monthly standard report and reports for key stakeholders informing status of the project and action plans
Respond to volunteer enquiries and provide navigation to people interested in volunteering together with supporting and educating organisations in volunteering
Coordinate volunteer training (online and face to face) and deliver basic volunteering training/information sessions
Create a database of volunteering organisations/groups that have an interest in palliative care volunteering or who are already volunteering
Coordinate a networks and special interest groups for volunteer coordinators including guest speakers and meeting planning and facilitating sessions
Skills and Experience Required
Experience as a Volunteer Coordinator/Management
Strong understanding of the Volunteering sector
Demonstrated project coordination skills and proactive solutions based approach
Experience in maintain a customer relationships management (CRM) system
High digital literacy skills (including accurate record coordination, activity tracking, reporting, Office365, PowerPoint, teams/zoom, Monday.com, Better Impact, Canva desirable)
High attention to detail, with high level of written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated strong customer service, interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and professional boundaries
Sound time management, planning and organisational skills to meet the demand of a busy position
A shared passion and determination to play a key role in delivering the mission and vision of the organisation
Role subject to National Police Check and current driver’s license
