The Opportunity
Reporting to the Collections Team Leader, you’ll be responsible for managing early-stage arrears and helping customers navigate their financial commitments. This role suits individuals who are confident communicators and thrive in a customer-facing environment, whether you're coming from a collections background or have experience in financial services customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of asset finance accounts in early arrears (approximately 30 days overdue)
- Negotiate and maintain affordable and sustainable repayment arrangements
- Support customers through the recovery process, ensuring outcomes that benefit both the business and the customer
- Liaise with internal teams and external partners to resolve account queries
- Educate customers on their commitments to prevent future delinquency
- Work toward achievable team KPIs and performance goals
About You:
To be successful in this opportunity, you must have experience in the following areas and possess the below personal qualities:
- Minimum 12 months experience in either collections or customer service within the banking or financial services industry
- Strong communication and negotiation skills with a professional and empathetic approach
- Excellent attention to detail and a proactive problem-solving attitude
