About the role:

We are seeking a Reliability Engineer (HME) to join their growing team and play a critical role in driving equipment performance and continuous improvement initiatives across mobile plant operations. You’ll play a critical role in improving equipment performance and reliability for mobile plants. Reporting to the Principal of Assets, you’ll work closely with cross-functional teams and OEMs to identify and solve performance issues, improve lifecycle management, and drive high-value business improvements using data and analytics.

Responsibilities:
  • Drive lifecycle management and work management improvements.
  • Monitor equipment performance and lead targeted root cause analysis.
  • Oversee component changeout programs and condition monitoring (including oil analysis).
  • Liaise with OEMs to troubleshoot issues, diagnose faults, and implement solutions.
  • Manage warranty claims and recovery processes.
  • Conduct reliability audits and improve maintenance processes..
  • Analyze complex mechanical issues using tools like RCA, FMEA, LORA.
  • Track wear rates (e.g. tyres, GET, undercarriage) and develop strategies with maintenance.
  • Set up asset reporting dashboards and enhance data accuracy.
  • Coach and upskill team members on reliability best practices.
Desirable:
  • Tertiary degree or Certificate in Mobile Plant.
  • Previous experience as a Reliability or Maintenance Engineer in mining.
  • Strong working knowledge of CMMS (Oracle preferred or Pronto), and Microsoft Office.
  • Familiarity with classified plant awareness training.
  • WA C Class Driver’s License.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to influence and drive change.
